CPT 059-1-S24 | Working The Landscape in Gouache

Course Overview:

Come spend the day playing with acrylic gouache, an opaque, matte acrylic paint. We’ll learn the basics while also going over different methods and techniques to help you discover the medium.

Acrylic gouache has excellent coverage and is made with an acrylic binder which makes it waterproof when dry. This gives the opportunity to over-paint and layer without smearing. Your finished gouache paintings will have a lovely matte, velvety surface. Plan on creating 4-6 paintings in this one-day workshop.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course you will

  • Create 4-6 paintings
  • Have a better understanding of acrylic gouache methods and techniques
