Deb Dawson developed her narrative voice at SALT Institute of Documentary Studies. Through contemplative observation and a lyrical style, she photographs the working lives of maritime communities and the environment. She was introduced to Maine 30 years ago while honing her photographic eye at Maine Media Workshops + College before completing her BFA in Photography at the University of Southern Maine. Deb’s photographs have been exhibited in juried exhibitions nationwide and was awarded First Place in the 2022 Maine Photography Show. View more of Deb’s work at www.debdawsonphotography.com Students must bring to class a digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera with memory card and external hard drive for saving classwork.
