Course Overview:
Students will work each week from live nude models using a variety of drawing media. This course introduces drawing from observation, including techniques for measurement, contour, mass, volume, and value, focusing on composition and figure/ground relationships through various drawing media.

Faculty:
Jennifer Brou is an artist, designer and educator based in South Portland, Maine. Jennifer studied at the Glasgow School of Art and earned her BFA in Crafts, with a Minor in Photography, from Longwood University. Her multifaceted studio practice includes knitwear design, drawing and photography. Jennifer currently teaches in the Foundation and Continuing Studies Programs at Maine College of Art & Design.
Supplies:
Optional: inexpensive paint brushes, dip pen, India ink, colored pencils, markers, crayons, graphite, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, oil pastels, or other drawing materials of your choice.
