Course Description

Learn the basics of woodworking and more through this week long skateboard building intensive. Through making, students will learn how to build their own skateboard, from rough lumber all the way to finished and rideable product. Topics that will be covered include milling, veneering & laminating, bending & jig making, cutting, shaping and finishing. After building a standard shortboard deck each student will then have the creative freedom to design the bottom of the deck by employing a variety of techniques and options. After a protective finish is applied, each student will complete their custom board with grip tape, trucks and wheels. Included in the fee: Wood: Hard Rock Maple, Grip tape: Mob (standard black), Trucks:Independent 139mm, Wheels: Spitfire 52mm,  Bearings: Bullseye Abec 9
