Personal, abstract, fantasy and self care all views are welcomed here. Comics come in all shapes and sizes and this class is a safe haven to explore pushing your creativity and comic styles. Each week you will learn about different artists, tips of the comic/illustrators trade, and be given a prompt to explore. In this class, you will create a minimum of six comics ranging in ideas, colors, and possibly materials. A perfect class for an artist wanting to challenge themself or keep their creative side alive and singing. Each week we will devote a minimum of 45 minutes to talk and friendly critique of our comics.
This seven-week class will meet once a week every Saturday at 10 am. Each class is scheduled for an hour and a half to two hours.
For the love of comics is a continuation of previous comics classes taught by Mattea Weinberg. All are welcome, from no experience to veteran comic artists who want to grow and have weekly prompts.
