In this class you will learn how to make hand printed greeting cards using plants as your printing matrix. The plant printing process can also be applied to other papers, fabric, wood... anything that you wish to print a plant onto!
Siobhan Haggett is an artist who lives in Portland, Maine and was raised in Vergennes, Vermont. She graduated from Maine College of Art in 2019 with a BFA in Printmaking. Her work is inspired by the wonder of nature and is created out of reverence for the New England landscapes and creatures which heavily impact her life.
Plant materials, leaves, ferns, flowers, branches
Paper you wish to make your card out of (heavier weight paper is best, but any paper will work)
Ink or acrylic paint (I recommend using speedball block printing ink)
A brayer or paintbrush
Optional: Markers or other drawing materials
