Learn to hand-piece a hexagon quilt using scraps and trading with classmates. No paper piecing involved. This is an easy, fun class and a perfect cozy winter activity! Making a hexie quilt is portable and fun. It’s even allowed on a plane. Learn to draft a hexie pattern of any size, trace on fabric, and stitch with a simple needle and thread. Watch the quilt grow as you sit around the fire place with friends. It’s a great way to use up scrap fabrics or cut up bits of old favorite clothing. Students will participate in a scrap exchange in order to build and add variety to their stash. All levels welcomed.
