Using embroidery and appliqué, change a plain piece of clothing into something fun and personal. Add texture, buttons, sparkly stuff, mending. Make the most of a worn spot by learning to mend or cover over with embellishment. This class is a fun way to pick out a piece of clothing at the thrift store and experiment with stitches and patches or update something that’s been languishing in your closet. Students will learn basic embroidery and appliqué stitches, as well as a few experimental techniques. A perfect way to prepare your wardrobe for back-to-school or back-to-work. All levels welcomed.
