Course Description

By means of Collage we will play with shapes and colors using observation and imagination to arrange them into portraits. These will be abstracted and will inform us how to better comprehend the relationships between colors and forms. Then we will rework, alter and re-invent these compositions using paint (oils and or acrylics are welcome). Pre requisite: basic painting.


TUITION: $350 + FEES: $20

Adeline Goldminc-Tronzo was born in Paris, France and trained in NYC at the Art Students League in the 1970s with Robert Beverly Hale, Marshall Glassier, Joseph Hirsch and Norman Lewis. For more than 35 years her work has been exhibited in both Europe and the US. Adeline also conducts painting workshops in Provence, and Paris France. www.adelinette.com


  • Your chosen medium (acrylics or oils)
  • sketchbook
  • colored paper for collage (flat colored pieces from magazines)
  • glue
  • scissors 
  • a surface to paint & glue on(for example: canvas or matt board that been gessoed or anything else that might work for both mediums)
