An introductory black-and-white still photography course that covers the fundamentals of 35mm photography. Emphasis on camera handling and operation, film processing, darkroom printing techniques and the aesthetics of photographic vision. Geared toward the novice, but open to those with previous experience.

Thurston Howes received a MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and is known for documentary, environmental portrait, studio, corporate and advertising photography. Thurston is a socially concerned visionary. His work has been featured in many national and international fine art exhibitions as well as several feature films.
