An introductory black-and-white still photography course that covers the fundamentals of 35mm photography. Emphasis on camera handling and operation, film processing, darkroom printing techniques and the aesthetics of photographic vision. Geared toward the novice, but open to those with previous experience.

Faculty: Jon Tobiasz

Jon Tobiasz is a photographer living in Lincolnville, Maine. He has taught both digital and analog photography and exhibited his work throughout New England. Jon has also worked commercially as a printer in photogravure, collodion and gelatin silver. He has an MFA from Maine Media College.

SUPPLIES:
A 35mm or Medium format camera, notebook+ pen. Photographic paper and films will be discussed.
