Course Description

This course is designed for the beginner / self taught metalsmith. Over the course of this class we will cover fundamental skills like sawing, filing, sanding & finishing, as well as cold connections, soldering, light forming and surface treatments. Students will become increasingly comfortable with materials & techniques from one project to the next and will finish the class with multiple “studies” of each technique as well as several wearable pieces. Bring a sketchbook to the first class.

Faculty: 

Catherine Quattrociocchi is a Jeweler and artist who makes jewelry, sculpture and other art forms. Catherine received her BFA at Maine College of Art & Design.
