This workshop concentrates on copper and sterling silver rings made to decorate the hand. Participants will learn basic fabrication techniques used to make handmade rings such as piercing, forming, soldering and surface finishing.

Kate Katomski is a multimedia artist and educator whose inter-disciplinary experience includes sculpture, printmaking, performance, video and installation. She received a BFA in Ceramics with a minor in Textiles from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA (1985). She received a MFA in Studio Art at Maine College of Art, Portland ME (2002). Katomski has exhibited her work throughout the United States including the Knoxville Museum of Art, E. Tennessee Museum of History in Knoxville, TN; The Kitchen Art Gallery, New York, NY; Carving Studio and Sculpture Center Gallery, W. Rutland, VT; Shelburne Farm, Burlington City Arts, VT; A.I.R. Gallery II, New York, NY; the Pelham Art Center, Pelham, NY. She teaches Architecture History & Studio at Southern Maine Community College, S. Portland, ME. She taught at The New School for Social Research, New York, NY; Sculpture Center, New York, NY; and Columbia Preparatory School, New York, NY.
