Students will study the foundations of drawing. The class will learn how to sight and measure, how to build effective compositions, and how to use line to create a feeling of space and light. Working from observation, students will also focus on effective mark-making with a variety of materials.

Adeline Goldminc-Tronzo was born in Paris, France and trained in NYC at the Art Students League in the 1970s with Robert Beverly Hale, Marshall Glassier, Joseph Hirsch and Norman Lewis. Newsprint paper ( 18" X 24" pad) & small sketchbook
Large STRATHMORE charcoal pad ( 300 series) 18 X 24
3 Sheets of large COLORED charcoal paper
soft charcoal ( vine or willow ) ( not compressed)
Alphacolor CHAR-KOLE square drawing sticks
one white charcoal stick and or white pastel selection of Pencils ( ie: HB, B, 2B, 4B etc. )

kneaded eraser
pencil sharpener
masking tape
For the first class bring the18 X 24 newsprint, or charcoal paper, the soft charcoal and a kneaded eraser; this will get you started.
