This course will teach you how to combine text, graphics and images using InDesign. InDesign is your best choice for designing multi page flyers, brochures, newsletters, and publications for print and digital publishing. We will cover Margins, Grids, Parent Pages, Layers, how to use Character and Paragraph Styles for typographic continuity, Text Wrapping graphics, Linking and modifying photos, and Saving for multiple uses. No previous InDesign experience necessary.

Faculty: Deb Hewson Merrill is a Graphic Design alumni of MECA, a freelance Graphic Designer, www.merrilldesign.com, and enthusiastically teaches Adobe software and graphic design. She was an Adjunct Professor of Digital Art at University of Southern Maine for several years, and a Corporate Instructor of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator at VTEC Education in Portland, with clients including LL Bean and Sappi Paper.

SUPPLIES: Notebook, pen, and a flash drive to save work.
