Planters a Plenty will explore the aesthetic and functional relationship between live plants and planter pots. Through the exploration of this relationship we will create living, evolving sculptures filled with personality and expression. Students will learn a variety of handbuilding and low fire surfacing techniques. We will cover slab building, coil building, and pinch pots. For surfacing we will discuss slips, terra sigillata, and glazing. Everyone from beginners to experienced makers are welcome. Join us in creating harmony and dialogue between plants and pots!
