This class will focus on color mixing, composition, texture and light while using oil paint. Students will be introduced to several painting techniques, styles and approaches to painting including varying brushstrokes, layering, and the many uses of gel mediums. Students will work from still life and clothed models. All supplies provided.

Kerrin Parkinson received her MFA in Illustration/Painting from The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA and her BFA in Art Education with a focus in Illustration/Painting from The University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. She has shown her work in solo and group shows on both the east and west coasts of the US, including representation with Agora Gallery in Soho, and is a member of The Society of Illustrators in NY.
