Maine Kids Code: an after school program encouraging middle school students to make a dent in the universe through computer code. We aim to teach basic and intermediate concepts in computer science by taking on real-world problems. Well facilitate hands-on, team-based projects using modern tools and current open source practices. Based on interests and abilities, activities could include web development, arduino/robotics, games, and virtual reality development. Beginner and experienced coders are welcome. All equipment will be provided.

Dwight Thorne teaches Math at King Middle school and has been involved in STEM robotics and coding programs.
