Course Description

This course is designed for those who are looking to get studio access to work independently on their own projects. The instructor will be available for feedback and for some demonstrations, but students are responsible for setting their own goals and timeline.

Prerequisite: Intro to Woodworking + Furniture Design

TUITION: $250 + FEES: $15
CEUs: 2.1

Joe Lendway earned his BFA in Woodworking and Furniture Design from the Maine College of Art in 2015. His current practice focuses on a mix of teaching woodcraft, designing and building custom furniture out of his shop in Portland's historic West End. He also works part time building pipe organs for David E. Wallace and Co. in Gorham, Maine, and builds wooden homewares for The Woodworker's Wife, a company he started and runs with his wife, Emily. Students must bring all their own materials and supplies. Please be sure to have your own ear and eye protection as well. Tools and equipment will be available for use.
