Beginner and experienced painters are welcome to come spend the day playing with watercolor methods and techniques while learning how to watercolor paint. This workshop combines a variety of paper, brushes and materials with specific exercises both abstract and representational. Students will gain a deeper understanding of this formal medium within a fun workshop format.

Marguerite Lawlers education includes a BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design, and a MFA in Painting from the City University of New York. Her work is shown in both public and private collections. She is represented by the Elizabeth Moss Gallery in Falmouth. Marguerite is the recipient of a 2017 Project Grant for Artists from the Maine Arts Commission.
A variety of watercolor brushes large to small, watercolor paints cake or tube-yellow,blue, red, water container, ruler, #2 pencil, eraser, organic sponges, masking tape 1", 18"x24" rigid support-anything that you can tape your paper to, 1 sheet of hot press, cold press, and rough watercolor paper, palette.
