Course Description

Students learn how to develop a project, storyboard it and sequence it. Investigate how to select an introductory photograph through the concluding photograph, including the plot, story line and transitions. During this discussion based workshop students will evaluate and study photographic story telling.


Thurston Howes received a MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and is known for documentary, environmental portrait, studio, corporate and advertising photography. Thurston is a socially concerned visionary. His work has been featured in many national and international fine art exhibitions as well as several feature films. His photography has also been in a one-man show at the Southeastern Center of Contemporary Art as well as in numerous private and corporate collections. www.thurstonhowes.com
