Course Description

In this course we'll continue exploring ways of drawing with the versatile medium of ink. In addition to further skill-building with dip-pen techniques, brush and dry brush will be introduced, as well as experimental methods that expand fundamental techniques and principles toward developing a personal voice in an ink aesthetic. Shorter exercises introduce new techniques and approaches with ink, while students will pursue guided independent projects using reference, life, and designed compositions. Artists and images will be shared and discussed for inspiration. An excellent way for students who have taken Beginning Pen & Ink to expand and enhance skills with dip pen, or for new students eager to work with this medium. no class 10/31+11/28
