We will gather to draw in the print show at the Portland Museum of Art: The Robbers: German Art in a Time of Crisis to search for an understanding of how these artists created their prints for expressive purpose. Through our drawings we will explore, differences in line qualities, kinds of form, aspects of unity/ disunity.

Patsea Cobb has taught drawing, beginning painting and figure sculpture in Continuing Studies at Maine College of Art for 17 years. Before that she was as Associate Professor of drawing in the foundation program at the Art Institute of Boston for thirteen years where she taught drawing, design and sculpture. Nathan Goldstein, author of The Art of Responsive Drawing, was the head of the department.
Students please bring heavy weight white bond paper 11" x 14" or 9" x 12". Because of important museum safety rules, I will provide the rest: drawing boards, clips and drawing tools (graphite only).
