Course Description

In this two-day workshop, we will study the foundations of drawing. Students will learn how to sight and measure, how to build effective compositions, and how to use line to create a feeling of space and light. Working from observation, students will also focus on effective mark-making with a variety of materials. This is a great course for the true beginner.

Annika Earley is a multidisciplinary artist who works with printmaking, drawing, and paper-cutting techniques. Her work focuses on how folk and fairy tales impact our contemporary perspectives. Earley has an MFA from Maine College of Art, an M.Phil from the College of the Atlantic, and teaches drawing, painting, and printmaking at MECA.
