With paper and a variety of stitching techniques, by hand and machine, we'll explore mark-making, layering, attaching, and fabricating diverse artifacts. We'll use sewing thread, embroidery floss, and other threads and thread-like materials to develop personal vocabularies of stitches and marks. We'll try ways of reusing and recycling paper, including spinning paper thread. Everyone will make a collection of stitched paper pieces and a personal archive of possibilities for future work.
