Consider the potential of combining hand printing with hand stitching. We'll start with relief printing on paper, including letterpress and EZ cut (similar to linoleum cut, but easier to carve). Then we'll embellish our prints with hand-stitching, using a variety of threads and thread-like things. Maybe you'll print readable words and use stitches to enhance the meaning of the text, or you'll print an image that is completed by the stitching; these are just a few of the possibilities we'll explore. no class 10/14+11/11
